Bollards

Funtington Bollards

Following the installation of 35 stout oak posts opposite the Fox & Hounds in Funtington, we have been busy reinstating the grass verge.

The Parish Council commissioned the bollards in order to smarten up the main thoroughfare through our village, to prevent parking on the grass verge and footpath, and to improve pedestrian safety. The topsoil delivered by the contractor has been raked, many flints removed and the area re-seeded.

Grateful thanks to Jane Blaydes who has put in many of hours of hard labour, to Tim Dempster for help with the seeding and to the Funtington resident who very kindly gave us a 5kg sack of grass seed.

Now hoping the rooks don’t eat it all!
