You may have noticed that when the Village Hall in West Ashling was being used as a Polling Station, the car park wall was, unfortunately, damaged. We are pleased to be able to report that, luckily, the car driver who knocked into the wall was uninjured.
A local flint worker, Mark Middleton, arranged to have the rubble removed and for the flints and usable bricks to be stacked safely in a corner of the car park. A loose section of the wall will also be taken down. Mark hopes to be able to re-build this wall in the New Year.
The Parish Noticeboard was also knocked over so, in due course, arrangements will be made for a replacement. Meanwhile there is a notice board in West Ashling at the end of Heather Close.
