11:15 The Remembrance Service is followed by an all faith service in the Church.

In our little ceremony at the War Memorial in Funtington we are uniting with the thousands of people carrying out Remembrance Ceremonies all round the world in those countries of citizens who volunteered to ensure Freedom for their families and friends.

All around the country the Church Bells will be rung on the evening of Sunday 11th November re-enacting the method used to tell the country of the good news in 1918.

At the same time in the evening people are also encouraged to light a small fire in their gardens to celebrate the lights being turned back on after four years of misery. (Subject to the usual safety precautions)

Remembrance Sunday is to remind us all to work collectively to prevent “History From Repeating Itself”
