Jane is West Sussex born and bred and has lived in West Ashling for 32 years, and works full time in Architecture and Project Management.

Jane has run The 1st Funtington and West Stoke Brownies for 25 years, and also holds roles within the Chichester Girl Guiding Division.

Jane is Chairman of West Ashling and Funtington District Hall, and as a Trustee, Jane’s aim is to raise sufficient funding to completely refurbish the village hall and to haul the building into the 21st Century, she firmly believes that the Village Hall should be the central hub of the Parish, and feels it should be owned, loved and enjoyed by all residents.

As a Parish Councillor in 1999, Jane headed the team that raised the money needed for the Parish playground, she also Chaired the teams who organised the Millennium Parish Party and the Queen’s Jubilee Parish Party, both events were held on the cricket ground, she was also part of the team on the Parish Council who carried out a Village Appraisal in 2004.

In 1987 Jane was responsible for getting mains gas brought into the village of West Ashling and for having duck warning signs erected either side of the pond.

Jane is passionate about the countryside and loves living in a small close knit community, she has two dogs and frequently walks the footpaths around the Parish.

Jane’s interest include aviation, architecture, gardening and cooking.
